Around OECTA — Pride Season newsletter header

Nine design directions for the June 2026 “Around OECTA” newsletter banner, themed for Pride Season to show that our association supports every member of our community. Every direction keeps our existing logo, uses the Progress Pride palette (the six rainbow colours plus the black, brown and trans-flag stripes), and carries the line “Teaching With Pride.” All are built to embed directly into our Google Sites newsletter, and all animate gently in the browser.

How to reviewScroll through all nine below. Each preview is live — give it a moment and the motion will start.
What to look forLogo legibility, tone (celebratory vs. calm), and how well it represents our members.
How to give feedbackNote the direction number + name (e.g. “07 · Stained Glass”). We can also blend elements between any two.

Set 1 — Foundational

Closest to our usual identity; the safest, most familiar options.

01Rainbow Flow Full-bleed animated rainbow gradient with the content on a frosted-glass plaque. Boldest celebration
Direction 1 — Rainbow FlowAnimated gradient + drifting light
02Progress Flag The flag itself — six stripes plus the Progress chevron, logo on a navy plaque. Most iconic
Direction 2 — Progress FlagSlow light sweep
03Navy + Pride Band Keeps our calm navy header and adds an animated Pride band with chevron accents. Closest to current
Direction 3 — Navy + Pride BandRolling Pride band + underline

Set 2 — Creative

Bolder, more expressive concepts.

04Chalkboard A classroom slate; a hand-drawn chalk rainbow draws itself in, chalk dust drifting up. Most on-theme for educators
Direction 4 — ChalkboardSelf-drawing chalk + drifting dust
05Waving Flag A real rippling Progress Pride flag (live cloth distortion), logo riding on the fabric. Most lifelike
Direction 5 — Waving FlagAnimated cloth ripple + sheen
06Prism Spectrum A beam of white light refracts through a prism and fans into the Pride spectrum — diversity as light. Most conceptual
Direction 6 — Prism SpectrumPulsing refracted rays

Set 3 — “Many facets. One light.”

Many distinct people held together by one shared light — a theme that also echoes stained glass: many coloured pieces, one source behind them. These color fields are drawn live and animate continuously.

07Stained Glass A living cathedral window — one moving light illuminates many Pride-coloured facets. Most resonant for OECTA
Direction 7 — Stained GlassLive canvas — moving light
08Faceted Gem A cut crystal; one light rotates and catches each facet in turn. Most refined
Direction 8 — Faceted GemLive canvas — rotating light
09Convergence Many coloured shards radiate around one unified, glowing core where the logo sits. Most symbolic
Direction 9 — ConvergenceLive canvas — radiating shards
Next step: reply with the direction number and name you’d like us to move forward with (for example, “07 · Stained Glass”). If the committee likes elements from more than one — say, the stained-glass light behind the calmer navy header — note that too and we’ll combine them into a single final header for the June 2026 newsletter.
